The Pennsylvania Council of the Service Employees International Union, which represents 58,000 members across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, today formally endorsed Democrat John Dougherty for the First District Senate seat. The afternoon press conference took place at SEIU Local 1201’s Philadelphia headquarters on North 5th Street. The valuable SEIU endorsement is another in a long line of key endorsements for Dougherty.
